Carbon Reduction Accreditation Standards

Carbon reduction and the reduction of greenhouse gases is important for the future world, we all share responsibility for helping to reduce them. Many organisations are pledging themselves to commitment to reduce the environmental impact that they have.

However, there remains little recognition of those organisations who are having an impact and can evidence the reductions they have made.

The Carbon Reduction accreditation standards addresses this by accrediting you based on the evidence of what you have done. By providing evidence of the impact of the aspect you are seeking carbon reduction accreditation for, we are able to independently accredit you at bronze, silver or gold levels. These aspects are split into Microaccreditations, smaller accreditations that assess individual areas of a carbon reduction strategy, such as the having a strategic vision that is embedded across the organisation.

Within Carbon Reduction Tick Accreditation Standards there are 8 Microaccreditations. Each can be applied for separately through our portal.

Below is the guidance for each Carbon Reduction Tick showing the evidence required for Bronze, Silver or Gold accreditation in each aspect.

Carbon reduction includes activities related to decreasing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions, including carbon dioxide.
