The reduction of carbon output and greenhouse gases is important for the future world, we all share responsibility for helping to reduce them. The European Environment Agency has stressed that we “must transform production and consumption systems to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.”
Many organisations are pledging themselves to commitment to reduce the environmental impact that they have. However, there remains little recognition of those organisations who are having an impact and can evidence the reductions they have made.
Accreditation standards which are specifically focused on reducing carbon plays a key part in addressing this disparity, by accrediting you based on the evidence of what you have done. By providing evidence of the impact of the aspect you are seeking this accreditation for, we are able to independently award you bronze, silver or gold levels. These aspects are split into Microaccreditations, smaller accreditations that assess individual areas of a reduction strategy, such as the having a strategic vision that is embedded across the organisation.
Within these overarching Accreditation Standards there are 8 Microaccreditations. Each of these can be applied for separately through our portal.
This accreditation includes activities related to decreasing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions, including carbon dioxide. Evidence is required to attain Bronze, Silver, or Gold accreditation for each aspect
