Slavery still exists, changing over time and seemingly becoming less obvious. However, for organisations there are tell-tale signs that they may observe. Policy and procedures can help reduce opportunities for modern slavery, or even identify risks of providing opportunities for slavery in their workforce or supply chain.
Senior support for the strategy and initiatives can really help to embed an organisation’s commitment to reducing the risks of modern slavery and for those who have been on this journey, there is little recognition of the time and effort that has gone into having this impact.
The Modern Slavery accreditation Tick addresses this by accrediting you based on the evidence of what you have done. By providing evidence of the impact of the aspect you are seeking modern slavery accreditation for, we are able to independently accredit you at bronze, silver or gold levels. These aspects are split into microaccreditations, smaller accreditations that assess individual areas of a modern slavery strategy, such as the impact of training on recognising signs of modern slavery on reducing the risks or improving practices that would stop modern slavery.
Within Modern Slavery Tick Accreditation there are 7 microaccreditations. Each can be applied for separately through our portal.
Below is the guidance for each Modern Slavery Tick showing the evidence required for Bronze, Silver or Gold accreditation in each aspect.
Modern slavery can include people trafficking, forced labour, servitude or slavery.
